Winter Holidays

My winter holidays have just begun and what I’m going to do doesn’t look quite well. It’s not that I don’t like what I’m planning on doing, it just sounds lame.

During these holidays I’m going to : – Re-arrange my wardrobe – it’s a complete mess. It will take a long time, but more space means lots of new clothes I’m getting this month. Oh, that means I also have to go shopping. – Go to Chinatown – I’m not really fond of China, but I can get several ingredients I need for some Japanese recipes. I’m planning on cooking onigiri - – Watch Azumanga Daioh – I’ve watched 13 episodes so far, and I’m so going to finish it during these fifteen days. Episode #12 is outstanding, it’s like a big, funny synopsis. And it also made me sad. – Watch X X X HOLiC – I started to read the manga and I left the animé at episode #8. I can’t do that to my beloved Yuuko-san. – Finish reading X X X HOLiC y Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE -I get to stare at thousands of scanlations… lucky me. – Start watching Lucky Star y Code Geass – they seem to be quite interesting, and Code Geass’ characters were designed by CLAMP. – Watch Ugly Betty’s Second Season -I can’t believe I haven’t watched it already. – Hang out with my mates – I can’t be like this, I must be with them. – Play Ragnarok Online II – this game is absolutely great. I don’t like online games, but RO and RAGII are exceptions.

Well, that’s it. Pathetically anti-social, I know. But that’s my life.
PS. Oh, on Saturday I went to a huge convention called Tokyo Weekend. I bought a zillion things, including a Mokona Modoki. Envy me.

Everything seems to be falling right into place…

Good news, I’m finally getting my new hard drive tomorrow.

It’s about time – I’m getting tired of using this distro. It’s a pain having to download the very same things every time I turn the computer on.

On the other hand, winter holidays are near and exams are closer. This past week has been really hectic, and so will be the next two or three.
Even though I haven’t got much spare time, I’ve managed to start watching xxxHOLiC and Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, which is quite good.

I’m going to a convention on July 26th, so I’ll be able to post new photos, mainly about cosplayers.

High and Mighty Color

A few people must know that I’m a huge anime/manga fan. But I wasn’t really into Japanese music until a few days ago, when a friend told me she would download any song I told her, if I downloaded a few songs from this j-rock group.

Now I’m hooked up.
Even though I can’t understand a word, most of the songs seem familiar, especially since most of them were used in anime’s openings and endings.

A group I strongly recommend is High and Mighty Color (ハイ・アンド・マイティ・カラー Hai ando Maiti Karā)
HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR is made up of six members; Maakii (lead vocals), Yusuke (vocals), Kazuto (guitar), MEG (guitar), mACKAz (bass), and SASSY (drums) are its members. HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR is often referred to as the “sister-band” of popular Japanese band Orange Range. This is attributed to the fact that both come from the Okinawa area of Japan and both bands were discovered in the same music festival. The band started with the members Meg and Sassy working on a cover of a Metallica song, in time they were joined by Yusuke, Kazuto and mACKAz. At this time the band was known as Anti-Nobunaga.

One of HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR’s most famous song is “Ichirin no Hana”, an opening for anime series Bleach. Have you heard it?
